Why?

A young mind is like gelatin.

The idea is to put in lots of good stuff before it sets.

     Having caring adults in the classroom will teach our children lessons of love.  Children learn more from seeing than from hearing.  If they are surrounded by loving caring adults they will become self-confident and better ready for everything that lies ahead.

Other Reasons

• To earn money for Heartland Head Start Congress gives funds to programs that show the most support from their communities. When you volunteer it Directly helps the whole program.
• You will gain a better understanding of your child and how to best meet his/her needs.
• You will learn more about parenting
• More adults in the classroom means more individual teaching for each child.
• You'll love the personal satisfaction you'll feel. You are really needed and very much appreciated.
• You'll be a part of a great team! You will be a part of a national movement to improve the overall education of our rising generation.
• To provide expertise in areas that are necessary but affordable (legal advice, personnel advice, risk management, etc)
