ARE THE KEY TO THE SUCCESS OF THE PROGRAM

How can we help as a volunteer?

  1. Be a classroom volunteer
  2. Be a bus monitor
  3. Be involved in Head Start Parent Committees and Policy Councils
  4. Involve the community in supporting the Head Start Program
  5. Call and find out what is needed

All volunteers working with children more than once a month must have a physical and a TB test on file.

Some additional ways that you can participate as a Head Start volunteer include:

• Help another parent feel welcome.
• Escort children on walks and field trips
• Attend parent meetings
• Delight in each child's uniqueness
• Support teachers in the classroom
