HEARTLAND HEAD START
RULES FOR CHILDREN Please
discuss and help your child be aware of the following rules we have at Head
Start. This will help make the adjustment of being in a structured classroom
environment or home base socialization period a little easier.
General
- Walk inside the building
- Keep your hands and feet to yourself
- Use quiet voices while in the building
- Stay inside the classroom unless with
the teacher Meals and Snack Time
- Sit in your seat at the table
- Use table manners
- Clean up after yourself Bathroom
- Boys lift the toilet seat
- Put toilet paper in the toilet
- Flush the toilet
- Wash your hands Toys and supplies
- Put toys back when you are finished
with them
- Build blocks only as tall as yourself
- Walk with scissors holding the blunt
end in your palm
Bus
- Listen to the driver and follow instructions
- Use your seat belt -Stay in your own
seat
- Talk quietly
- Be silent at railroad tracks so the
driver can hear a whistle
- Keep your feet by your seat
- Keep your hands to yourself
Please note: Failure to follow
bus rules may be cause for a child to be removed from the bus.
